Marriage Counseling Session 1

Eric and I had our first marriage counseling session last night. We are taking it with my two engaged roommates and their fiance's, our pastor and his wife...and two married couples in the church. I am really excited about it because I feel like it's going to give Eric and I a chance to really connect with our friends that might be going through the same rollercoaster we are - all the happiness and all the struggles - and also, it gives a chance to learn from some couples who we admire who've already been through it. I think the best part though, is going to be learning more about each other...and getting a little deeper...spiritually/emotionally...and just seeing how our different characteristics make us a perfect match! Even though we didn't finish our homework for the first session (oops), it's off to a good start...I am already learning about Eric, myself, and us as a couple. I like learning about the way we work, and how we can grow and follow our hearts together.
